Will Hilton

William H. “Will” Hilton, III

If not for the construction industry, Will Hilton might have never become a lawyer. With a civil engineering degree from Virginia Tech, Will began his professional life as a project engineer and project manager for large construction firms in Maryland. But after a few years of observing issues and conflicts that could have been avoided by better contract drafting, he was convinced he could do better.

Urged on by a supportive boss, Will obtained a law degree and joined Brennan, Manna & Diamond, LLC in Jacksonville.  There, he focused on commercial litigation, mostly centered on construction law and real estate development.

Today, Will brings his practical construction and engineering knowledge and years of legal experience to bear on behalf of clients at Bachara Construction Law. With a lifelong passion for problem-solving and a commitment to service, he particularly enjoys resolving complex matters. And his interest in construction law is as keen as ever!

Will brings a broad background in business law as well as civil litigation to his practice. Immediately prior to joining BCLG, he served in senior legal roles with several corporations.  Most recently, he served as Underwriting Counsel with Fidelity National Title Group in Franklin, Tennessee.

Before that, he was sole counsel at DayMark, a real estate investment trust in Jacksonville, where he was responsible for all legal affairs of the company. Earlier, he served as  Managing Counsel and Vice President for Fidelity National Title Group. In that role, he oversaw a team that resolved policy claims and litigation in Delaware, Maryland, D.C., Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee.

Will is a member in good standing of The Florida Bar and a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association. In addition to his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, he earned his J.D. from the Florida Coastal School of Law.

When he’s not working, Will enjoys playing the guitar and being the world’s worst fly fisherman. He and his wife of 19 years are the parents of two daughters and a son.
